Douglas Adams once wrote that the world would end on a Thursday (it did, actually). But not this Thursday. Today, the Rails Rumble voting system goes live. Check out the badass applications built by our 92 qualifying teams, and Register to vote for your favorites. The polls will be open for 2 weeks, so get in there and make your voice heard now. There may be 92 killer apps, but only one can win the Title Belt. Go get em tiger.
The Rails Rumble is a 2-day event taking place the weekend of September 8th.
Over a period of 48 hours, teams of Ruby on Rails developers will compete
to
design, develop, and deploy new and interesting web-based applications
from
scratch.
The Rumble is equal parts idea incubator and community building
exercise, as well as being a demonstration of exactly how much you can
accomplish with Ruby on Rails and agile development processes in very
little time.
Contestants will be judged throughout the following week by the
community (that's you!) and prizes will be awarded for various category
wins.
In addition, winners will be showcased at the upcoming Ruby East
conference.
Registration will open shortly. Register your team to compete, or sign up
to
help judge submissions!
